We are proud to present the 2022 Sustainability Report, which aims to share the progress we have made at Grupo Arania in environmental, social and governance matters.
As well as developing the various actions summarised in this report, the new Group Sustainability Department was also created in 2022. Its creation aims to consolidate and coordinate the efforts already being made in each Group company on sustainability issues.
As we already know, the steel transformation sector is facing crucial challenges, such as energy management, its source and cost; reducing the carbon footprint; as well as promoting circularity through more sustainable production and consumption models. To meet all these challenges, Grupo Arania is committed to working closely with suppliers, customers, universities, technology centres and the relevant administrations.
However, these ambitious objectives would not be possible without the commitment and dedication of everyone in Grupo Arania. In the words of our chairman, Eric Arana:
Alone we can do little, together we can do a lot more.
We are fully aware of the challenges we face as a society and firmly believe that companies have a fundamental role to play in the search for solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.
