March 8th, International Women’s Day

ODS 05 Gender equality ODS 10 Reduced inequalities ODS 17 Partneships for the goals

March 8th is a prominent date on the international calendar. The purpose of this day is to highlight the gender inequality that is still a reality in many parts of the world. This day is also an occasion to celebrate the memory of the women who fought for equality and a tribute to all those who continue to promote it today.

We are doing our part to support the KETIARA project. KETIARA is a cooperative led by female coffee producers in Sumatra, Asia. 70% of its partners are women and the profit from the cooperative is the main income in their family economy. In addition, the purpose of this cooperative is to promote the incorporation of women into the coffee business.

We want to give coffee from this women’s cooperative as to everyone who is part of Aratubo.

This small gesture on International Women’s Day serves to highlight and support companies that seek to progress towards gender equality. A value that we share at Aratubo, as we believe in an equal society with the same opportunities, regardless of gender, origin, or ideology.
